Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Engineering Team Lead at Oakhanger, Hampshire to oversee the Installation and Maintenance Team on a critical Military Satellite Communications contract. You will lead maintenance of satellite ground station infrastructure and ensure round‑the‑clock service delivery.

You will develop expertise across satellite communications, systems engineering, network infrastructure and RF, while coordinating skilled teams and liaising with stakeholders to support national security

Qualifications

• Experience of systems engineering within network/RF domains.
• Proven fault diagnosis and maintenance experience on satellite comms equipment.
• Proficient in safety procedures and Microsoft Office.
• Good organisational skills with autonomous workload management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all problem reporting activities and 2nd line rectification tasks for Network Operations.
• Monitor and control communications systems to maintain operational integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support teams to deliver satellite services now and future.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure maintenance work meets SOW criteria and approvals.
• Ensure planned maintenance has proper approvals before starting work.
