Job summary

Insignis Asset Management Limited in London seeks a Lead Salesforce Developer to own the Salesforce platform and drive its ongoing development. You will design and build on Salesforce, set technical direction, and own integration with core systems using an event-driven architecture based on Kafka.

The role is hands-on with mentoring responsibilities, focusing on code quality, deployment governance, and platform health, while ensuring security and regulatory compliance within a hybrid working

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Salesforce development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
• Expert-level Apex: triggers, asynchronous processing, bulkification, and test strategy beyond coverage percentages.
• Strong experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using event-driven patterns (Platform Events, CDC, Kafka).
• Experience with Salesforce integration options and their trade-offs (REST/SOAP, External Services, streaming API).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of solutions on the Salesforce platform with hands-on Apex development.
• Own the integration architecture between Salesforce and operational systems (Kafka-based).
• Define and enforce engineering standards for the Salesforce team: code review, testing, CI/CD, deployment governance.
• Mentor and develop other Salesforce team members and translate business requirements into platform solutions.
• Ensure security, data protection and regulatory obligations (UK GDPR, FCA) are met, including access controls and audit trails.
• Manage Salesforce technical debt and platform health, including governor limits and environment management.
• Contribute to platform lifecycle activities (seasonal releases, sandbox strategy).
