Job summary

Bright Horizons Wokingham Nursery is seeking a Room Leader to lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education for children in the room. The role focuses on child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and strong partnerships with parents and professionals.

The ideal candidate will hold a full Level 3+ Early Years qualification, have EYFS knowledge, safeguarding experience, and a passion for inclusive learning environments. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and wider legislative requirements for working with children.
• Ability to develop trust and strong partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.
• Ability to communicate with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education for all children in the room.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding.
• Maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
