Job summary

RVU is seeking a Risk Pricing Lead to design and manage pricing models, using claims and policy data to drive profitable growth. You will work in a hybrid setup with 2 in-office days in London and flexibility for Fleet, Hampshire.

You will collaborate across underwriting, pricing, data and engineering to deliver robust pricing insights and governance. The role requires hands-on model-building experience, strong communication skills, and a UK GI background, ideally motor.

Qualifications

• Experience building pricing or risk models with data assessment and validation.
• Ability to make defensible pricing decisions with limited history.
• Experience owning pricing beyond launch and analyzing portfolio mix.
• UK General Insurance experience in motor preferred.
• Strong analytical skills using Python or R desirable.
• Familiarity with pricing/modelling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain pricing models and portfolio insights to hit target loss ratios.
• Assess data quality, lead feature selection, segmentation and model validation.
• Price effectively when history is limited using credibility and external data.
• Monitor live models and drive pricing, rating and underwriting changes.
• Present insights to senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensure pricing approaches align with FCA fairness expectations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data, and Product teams to implement models.
