Job summary

RVU Limited is seeking a Risk Pricing Lead to join our Pricing & Underwriting team in London. The role blends hands-on model building with strategic oversight, delivering value from claims and policy data while ensuring profitability and customer outcomes.

You will develop pricing models, validate data quality, and work with Engineering, Data and Product to bring models into production. Hybrid work with two days in-office weekly.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience building pricing or risk models using data to inform decisions.
• Ability to assess data quality, perform feature selection, segmentation and model validation.
• Experience in pricing beyond launch: tracking lead metrics and portfolio mix.
• Experience with UK general insurance, ideally motor, in insurer/MGA/broker context.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain frequency, severity and burn cost models using claims and policy data.
• Assess data fitness for purpose and document assumptions/limitations.
• Price effectively with limited data using credibility techniques and external benchmarks.
• Manage pricing models post-launch, monitor metrics and trends.
• Recommend pricing/underwriting changes balancing profitability and growth.
• Run performance reviews and contribute to governance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Data and Product to implement models.
• Present pricing insights to senior stakeholders and insurer partners.
• Support FCA fairness and Consumer Duty compliance.
• Mentor junior analysts where applicable.
