Lead Revit Technician for Energy Projects

Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Revit Technician to join a supportive team working on Energy sector projects. You will help develop and lead production of Revit models and CAD drawings across all design stages.

The role involves producing and supervising 3D BIM models, coordinating with external stakeholders, and using BIM tools (BIM360) to deliver clear drawings for conception through construction, while managing drafting workload under pressure.

Qualifications

• An HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience in Energy Structures as a Technician
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Experience in ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software
• Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules (Not essential, training will be provided)
• Strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role
• Proficiency at planning and organising workload
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation skills
• Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design information
• Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes
• Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and construction
• Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration.
