Job summary

St Leger Homes of Doncaster seeks a Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader to lead a multi-trade repairs operatives team and drive a responsive, high-quality service for customers.

You will report to the Responsive Repairs Service Manager, coordinating with the Planning Team to plan workloads, monitor performance, and develop staff while ensuring safety and right-first-time outcomes within budget.

Qualifications

• NVQ3/City & Guilds or Level 2 with CITB Level 3 supervision qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent, plus training within six months.
• Experience managing employees in multi-trade housing repairs.
• Knowledge of construction practices, housing repairs legislation and safety standards.
• Experience improving workforce productivity and prioritisation.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving and written communication skills.
• Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to a multi-trade repairs team with clear objectives.
• Monitor performance, productivity, costs and completion information.
• Maximise first-time completion by allocating trades, materials and tools.
• Coach staff through regular communication and performance review.
• Investigate service issues and ensure required actions are completed.
• Coordinate with Planning Team to match jobs, priorities and resources.
• Maintain accurate repair records and operational data for reporting.
• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to improve service.
• Support recruitment, workforce planning, vehicle and stock control.
• Promote safeguarding and uphold organisational values.
