Deploy Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Protection and Control Design Engineer to lead HV protection schemes for 11–132 kV networks, mentoring junior engineers and liaising with project teams. Hybrid or remote work is available to stay connected with clients and delivery teams.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and have UK experience with protection relays, IEC 61850, DNP3 and related schemes; proficiency in DIGSILENT, ETAP, AutoCAD is preferred; a driving

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience delivering protection and control designs in UK electricity distribution or transmission.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, protection relays and DNP3 configurations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver protection and control designs for 11–132 kV networks.
• Develop CT/VT specs, relay settings, and IPC documentation.
• Perform protection coordination studies and settings calculations.
• Provide technical review of designs from ICPs and external teams.
• Support project delivery, including FAT and site commissioning.
