Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RME) to lead maintenance across an EU-wide function. You’ll supervise shift teams, perform preventative care, and drive process improvements with a focus on uptime and safety. Strong English and multi-site coordination are essential.

The role involves shift work at an operational site, including weekends or nights, with opportunities for progression into senior roles within Amazon's RME organization.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics or an IRL/UK apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in a technical leadership role within industrial maintenance.
• Experience across electrical and mechanical disciplines relevant to automation.
• Proven experience with automation or material handling equipment environments.
• Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor teams on processes.
• Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise technicians on shift and act as first contact for RME engineers.
• Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and speed up operations.
• Identify and implement improvements across the EU network.
