Job summary

Roots Healthcare seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead a new Ofsted-registered solo children’s home in Loughborough for one young person aged 6–16. You will set up the home, recruit and supervise a small, trauma-informed staff team and ensure daily operations meet regulations.

You will work with social workers and families, oversee safeguarding, placement planning and records, and prepare for Ofsted inspections.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in children's residential care
• Experience as Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
• Willingness to complete Level 5 Diploma (funded)
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the home and be the Registered Manager with Ofsted
• Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards at all times
• Recruit, supervise, train and support the staff team
• Build trauma-informed care around the young person’s plan with social workers, schools, health professionals and families
• Lead safeguarding, risk assessments, placement planning and record keeping
• Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections and Regulation 44 visits, and act on findings
