Job summary

Avon Search is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager for a 20-bed residential care home in St Leonards, Ringwood. You will oversee day-to-day operations, lead the care team and ensure high standards of person-centred care.

Salary £40,000 per annum, full‑time role. The position requires prior management of an older people’s residential home, strong knowledge of CQC regulations, and a Level 5 Leadership & Management for Adult Care or willingness to pursue.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a residential care home for older people.
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Level 5 Leadership and Management for Adult Care or willingness to work towards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary care teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and management of the home.
• Provide strong, visible leadership to the care team.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred care aligned to residents' needs.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and policies.
• Lead quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement.
• Manage occupancy, referrals and admissions.
• Oversee budget management and resource use.
• Prepare for and manage inspections.
