Job summary

Avon Search is actively recruiting a Registered Home Manager for a welcoming 20-bed residential care home in Ringwood. You will lead the team, ensure excellent, person-centred care, and maintain full regulatory compliance.

The role requires prior experience managing or deputy managing an older‑people care home, a strong CQC understanding, and a Level 5 leadership qualification (or willingness to pursue).

Qualifications

• Experience managing or deputy managing a residential care home for older people.
• Strong understanding of CQC requirements, care legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or willingness to work towards this where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation and management of the home.
• Provide strong, visible leadership to the care and home team.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred care in line with residents’ needs and wishes.
• Maintain compliance with CQC regulations, policies and best practice.
• Lead quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement across the home.
• Manage occupancy, referrals and admissions as required.
• Support effective budget management and resource use.
• Prepare for inspections and ensure the home is inspection-ready.
