Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Commercial Manager to lead the financial performance of design and build Fabric and MEP projects within telecoms frameworks across the UK. You will review estimates, secure favourable pricing, and monitor labor and subcontract costs to protect margins.

Applicants should have a strong background in construction contracting, advanced Excel, and excellent communication skills. Travel across the UK is expected, with no fixed remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Advanced IT and Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience administering construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple design and build Fabric and MEP projects valued between £250k and £5m.
• Review project estimates post-contract award and secure best pricing for plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor labour and subcontract cost performance to maintain cost certainty.
• Negotiate and agree contract variations and monthly client valuations.
• Provide commercial input into proposals and bids and support project governance.
