Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of a circa £2m refurbishment and upgrade project in a specialist heritage environment. You will lead the QS function, reporting to the project team and ensuring robust commercial controls across pre- and post-contract activities.

The role requires hands-on management, experience with restoration or conservation projects, and the ability to work across Lut on and London sites with a flexible presence on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commercial management on refurbishment/restoration projects.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision within a specialist contractor environment.
• Strong numeric and contractual awareness for cost control and final accounts.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of circa £2m project and manage QS function.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts and commercial controls.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Procure and manage subcontractors; monitor measurement and variations.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and report to senior management.
