Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of the VolkerWessels UK Group, seeks an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor in the Macclesfield area to lead on all commercial and contractual aspects of projects and oversee the broader commercial team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will ensure successful delivery across pre-construction, procurement, subcontract management and post-construction stages.

The ideal candidate will have RICS/CIOB/ICES accreditation or a QS degree, with extensive Senior QS/QS

Qualifications

Experience leading on commercial and contractual aspects of projects.
Accreditation by RICS, CIOB or ICES or equivalent degree with numerical/technical focus.
Relevant experience as a Senior QS/QS in civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Lead on all commercial and contractual aspects of assigned projects.
Oversee a broader commercial team to ensure successful project delivery.
Procure and manage subcontracts in line with company policy and budget.
Provide monthly cash flow and final account forecasts to the client.
Ensure post-construction reviews, final accounts, and defect rectification are completed.
