Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, seeks an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team on major projects in the Warrington/Macclesfield area. You will own contract risk assessment, commercial planning and client relations, ensuring value and compliance across pre- and post-construction phases.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will mentor the team, drive procurement schedules and manage subcontracts, with a focus on delivering profitable outcomes and robust

Qualifications

• Accredited RICS or CIOB or ICES qualification.
• Degree in QS with numerical/technical emphasis advantageous.
• Essential QS degree; relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial team to ensure project delivery.
• Review main contract conditions and advise on risk and scope.
• Assess sub-contract packages for inclusion in main tender.
• Support bid team during procurement and tender input.
• Coordinate with senior management on commercial strategy.
