Job summary

Esh Living seeks a Quantity Surveyor in Leeds to lead the commercial management of contracts from pre-construction to on-site delivery. You will ensure projects stay financially on track and deliver measurable value, coordinating with supply chain and clients.

Based in Leeds, the role covers procurement, contract administration, valuations, variations and cost control, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting. Hybrid benefits and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Built environment or equivalent, desirable
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction sector
• Working knowledge of NEC/JCT contract conditions
• Proficient in MS Office
• CSCS card desirable
• Valid driving licence

Responsibilities

• Procurement of sub-contractors in line with target programme and company policy
• Contract administration of sub-contracts
• Timely assessment and payment of sub-contractors’ applications and issue of payment notices
• Preparation and submission of external valuations to contract requirements
• Management and forecasting of external valuations through to final account with Clients
• Measurement of quantities on site and from drawings
• Evaluation of variations and provisional sums
• Production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations
• Maintain good quality and accurate records
• Delay identification and notification with project team
• Change management in line with contract
• Minimise non-recoverable costs and price project variations
