Job summary

Ignite Talent Group Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a leading West Yorkshire housebuilder delivering high-quality residential developments. The role is based in the Leeds office with regular site visits across the region.

You will support the commercial team with day-to-day commercial management, subcontractor procurement, budgets, valuations and cost reporting, helping to keep projects within planned costs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role, ideally within housebuilding or residential development.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles, including subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations and cost control.
• Confident with Microsoft Excel and wider Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quantity Surveyor and wider Commercial team with day-to-day commercial management of residential developments.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, tendering and preparation of subcontract packages.
• Assist with budgets, valuations, cost reports, forecasts, and monthly commercial reporting.
• Monitor project costs and expenditure, identifying commercial issues and opportunities.
• Assist with measurement and valuation of works completed on site and with cost/value reconciliations.
