Job summary

Vertical Recruitment is supporting an established independent property and construction consultancy in Manchester with a senior appointment to establish and develop its Quantity Surveying and Cost Management offering. The successful candidate will lead the QS and Cost Management function, leveraging an existing client base while building a new team and network.

This is a high-autonomy role suitable for an Associate Director or Director seeking ownership, equity potential, and a broader

Qualifications

• Strong background in consultancy-side Quantity Surveying and Cost Management.
• Experience at Associate Director or Director level, or capability to progress to that level.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and secure new business.
• Knowledge of Employer's Agent services, procurement and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Quantity Surveying and Cost Management offering.
• Lead pre- and post-contract QS services across a varied portfolio.
• Develop a growth strategy with target sectors, clients and opportunities.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a Quantity Surveying team as workload grows.
• Take responsibility for commercial performance and long-term development of the function.
• Work with Directors to identify QS opportunities within existing client base.
