Vertical Recruitment Limited is partnering with an established construction consultancy to appoint an Associate Director for its Quantity Surveying and Cost Management team in Manchester. The role blends technical delivery with client relationship management and business development to grow the North West practice.

The ideal candidate is chartered with the RICS and has senior consultancy experience across relevant sectors, with a track record in mentoring junior staff and driving new business.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in Quantity Surveying or multidisciplinary construction consultancy.
• Chartered with the RICS (MRICS or FRICS).
• Proven track record leading cost management commissions end-to-end.
• Experience across sectors: residential, PBSA, higher education, life sciences, hotels or leisure.
• Strong client-facing and business development experience.
• Experience mentoring junior QS staff.

Aufgaben

• Lead Quantity Surveying and Cost Management commissions across residential, PBSA, higher education, life sciences, hospitality and leisure developments.
• Provide strategic cost advice throughout the full project lifecycle from feasibility to completion.
• Oversee cost planning, estimating, procurement, tendering, contract administration and final accounts.
• Manage existing client relationships as a trusted commercial adviser and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Develop new relationships across the North West market to generate opportunities and secure commissions.
• Support business development through client meetings, fee proposals, tenders and related activities.
• Lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors, offering technical guidance and development support.
• Maintain commercial oversight of fees, resources, profitability and delivery performance.
• Work with senior management to grow the Manchester cost management offering.
