GM Performance Power Units is seeking a 2nd Shift Quality Technician in Bath to lead advanced dimensional inspections using tactile CMMs and optical systems. You will develop inspection programs, interpret GD&T, and mentor junior technicians in a fast-paced motorsport environment.

Competenze

• Hands-on metrology or quality inspection experience with CMMs and optical systems.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read complex drawings.
• Ability to develop inspection programs from CAD/drawings and mentor others.

Mansioni

• Plan and execute inspections using CMMs, structured light scanners, and lasers.
• Develop and validate inspection programs from CAD models and drawings.
• Interpret GD&T requirements and advise on measurement feasibility.
• Lead investigations of dimensional nonconformances and support root cause analysis.
• Train and mentor junior technicians in equipment use and reporting.
• Collaborate to improve inspection strategies, fixtures, and workflows.
• Contribute to continuous metrology improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure inspections comply with QMS and FIA regulations.
