Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Lead QA Engineer for Real Time Systems in Edinburgh, with multiple location options. The role focuses on testing, validation, and performance of central systems within the Advanced Energy Management System (AEMS).

You’ll drive FAT/UAT/SAT, coordinate with vendors, and ensure reliability across Scotland, North Wales, and North West England. You will work with cross-functional teams on responsibilities from test strategy to documenting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with electricity transmission networks and control systems.
• Ability to create detailed technical test specifications and documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end testing strategy for AEMS centralized systems with project teams and vendors.
• Oversee FAT, UAT, and SAT across development, pre-production, and operational environments.
• Document test procedures, findings, and recommendations and support junior engineers.
