Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Edinburgh, Glasgow or Hamilton is seeking a Lead QA Engineer for Real Time Systems. You will coordinate end-to-end testing across AEMS centralized systems, working with project teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and high performance.

The role requires experience with OT testing, familiarity with IEC standards, and the ability to produce detailed test specifications to support reliability and resilience across Scotland and adjacent regions.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end testing across real-time systems and OT networks.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC104, Modbus/TCP, IEC 61850 and IEEE.
• Ability to create detailed technical test specifications and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end testing strategy for AEMS centralized systems.
• Gather testing requirements and produce technical documentation.
• Verify performance under expected workloads and conduct reliability testing.
