Job summary

BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking a Lead PSec Engineer on a 12-month contract to lead information assurance and security activities across large, regulated programmes.

The role focuses on IA, security risk management, and assurance artefacts, with hybrid working arrangements (1-2 days on-site per month).

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Information Assurance and Product Security within complex engineered systems.
• Understanding of Secure by Design concept versus Security Accreditation process.
• Experience within large scale, highly regulated programmes (defence, maritime, aerospace).
• Awareness of HM Government IS 1 & IS 2 standards for complex products.
• Awareness of ISO 27000 series standards for complex products.
• Awareness of IEC 62443 series standards for complex products.
• Familiarity with Security Testing scoping and test specification.

Responsibilities

• PMS Interim and Final Security Cases (multi-phase delivery).
• Development and maintenance of the PMS IA/Security Risk Register.
• Contributions to the Whole Boat IA Risk Register and artefacts.
• IA inputs to PMS Test, Set-to-Work, and verification strategies.
• Management and resolution of supplier IA Technical Queries (TQs).
• Supplier IA/Cyber artefact reviews and assurance outputs.
