Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Lead PSec Engineer in Barrow-in-Furness for a 12-month hybrid contract. The role covers development and maintenance of security cases, risk registers, and IA strategies across complex defence systems.

The position requires strong information assurance and product security expertise, with experience in regulated programmes and adherence to government security standards. Hybrid arrangement allows 1-2 days on-site per month.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Information Assurance and Product Security within complex engineered systems.
• Understanding Secure by Design vs Security Accreditation.
• Experience in large, regulated programmes (defence, maritime, aerospace).
• Awareness of HM Government IS 1 & 2 application to complex products.
• Awareness of ISO 27000 series to complex products.
• Awareness of IEC 62443 series to complex products.
• Familiarity with Security Testing scoping and test specification.

Responsibilities

• PMS Interim and Final Security Cases (multi-phase delivery).
• Development and maintenance of the PMS IA/Security Risk Register; contributions to the Whole Boat IA Risk Register and artefacts.
• IA inputs to PMS Test, Set-to-Work, and verification strategies.
• Management and resolution of supplier IA Technical Queries (TQs).
• Supplier IA/Cyber artefact reviews and assurance outputs.
