Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer to craft persuasive bids and drive high-value tenders from Cannock, Staffordshire. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, align content with client requirements, and deliver compelling proposals that differentiate Veolia’s solutions.

You will mentor other writers, implement quality standards, and contribute to a growing bid library while maintaining a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering bids and proposals for high-value tenders (>£5m) in technical sectors.
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.
• Exceptional writing skills with adaptable tone for different audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading capabilities.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities to synthesize information.
• Proven project management and deadline management in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Craft persuasive, compelling proposals for high-value tenders showcasing Veolia's solutions.
• Manage multiple high-value proposals with tight deadlines and maintain quality.
• Collaborate with SMEs, BD, technical and operations teams to translate complex info into customer content.
• Co-develop win strategies, themes, and value propositions for opportunities.
• Ensure content is well-structured, evidence-based, coherent and error-free.
• Mentor and develop writers, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Establish and maintain formal quality standards for consistency across proposals.
• Review team output, identify improvements, and develop training plans.
• Build and maintain bid library with case studies and reference materials.
• Attend client debriefs and apply feedback to improve win rates.
