Job summary

Standard Life in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the PIO Transformation workstreams and deliver complex, cross‑functional change across Retirement Solutions and Asset Management, aligning strategy with practical delivery and measurable benefits.

You will partner with senior executives, manage multiple workstreams, govern delivery, and provide robust MI to Boards while meeting regulatory expectations and maintaining strong risk, controls, and stakeholder engagement

Qualifications

• Experience leading large project teams and integrations.
• Financial services / retirement solutions experience.
• PIO knowledge: policyholder investment processes, fund accounting, data, reporting.
• Investment operations knowledge and risk assessment.
• Experience with supplier onboarding/offboarding in securities services.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders under pressure.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial acumen.
• Strong risk management and issue resolution skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with waterfall, hybrid and agile project methods.
• Experience presenting to UK regulators (PRA & FCA).

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
• Lead project team to deliver core business outcomes.
• Collaborate with delivery leads and external partners.
• Oversee PIO workstream including planning and delivery.
• Coordinate with Heads of Transformation and change teams.
• Work with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and MI.
• Manage strategic partners and third parties.
• Govern governance and reporting, including MI to Boards.
• Coordinate risk and assurance with three lines of defence.
• Provide progress MI and communicate roadmaps to stakeholders.
