Job summary

Standard Life plc in Edinburgh is seeking a Practice Business and Governance Manager within the Migrations team. You will oversee portfolio delivery, provide reporting to governance committees and executives, and drive improvements across transformation projects.

The role requires strategic thinking, stakeholder management at senior levels, and the ability to challenge leaders while maintaining delivery discipline. Hybrid working with some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience with senior leadership.
• Ability to work autonomously and think strategically across migrations governance.
• Strong analytical skills to use data for problem solving and recommendations.
• Experience producing executive level reports, including board/steering packs.
• Knowledge of Change Management Governance; financial knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to operate in a hybrid, fixed-term role with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Business Management to oversee portfolio delivery for a project hub and provide information to governance committees and executives.
• Provide operational support across transformation projects, challenge senior leaders, and coordinate audits and reporting improvements.
• Lead on resource planning and adhoc demand/supply exercises to adapt delivery plans.
• Coordinate communications, risk, and controls reporting for governance oversight.
