Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join the Asset Delivery team in Leeds. You will oversee a portfolio of approximately 15 construction and engineering projects worth £40-70 million over four years, collaborating with colleagues, consultants, contractors and supply-chain partners to deliver improvements for customers while protecting the environment.

This key role drives the Alliance’s delivery approach, shaping processes, and ensuring project success with a focus on safety,

Qualifications

• Leading complex construction/engineering projects across full life cycle.
• Managing multiple projects with large budgets and diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration.
• Experience in health and safety management on construction sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• PM qualification or accreditation, NEC accreditation advantageous; driving licence and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for delivering a portfolio of major construction/engineering projects.
• Lead projects from development through design, construction, handover and close-out, meeting time/cost/quality requirements.
• Maintain governance, delivery plans, forecasts and performance reporting with risk and issue escalation.
• Lead project managers and multidisciplinary teams including consultants and contractors.
• Manage commercial/financial responsibilities, including NEC contract administration and changes.
• Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve outcomes.
• Ensure safe delivery and promote wellbeing and environmental standards.
