Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking an IT Project Manager to join the Tech team in Leeds on a permanent, 37-hour week. The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days in the office and delivers medium-scale IT projects from definition through delivery.

You will manage scope, budgets, risks and benefits, collaborating with business teams, technical specialists and partners. You will work to ensure delivery aligns with the business case, driving customer outcomes and benefits realisation while maintaining governance and

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering medium-scale IT or technology-enabled projects from initiation through to implementation and handover.
• Strong governance, planning and control experience across scope, schedule, change and quality.
• Practical financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking and expenditure control.
• Experience identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies in complex delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication, with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to translate delivery information into clear reports and decisions.
• Experience defining, tracking and realising benefits against a business case.
• Full UK driving licence held.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-scale IT projects end to end with delivery to scope, time, cost and quality.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, plans, controls and governance with sponsors.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, expenditure and financial reporting for informed investment decisions.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across stakeholders, suppliers and partners.
• Maintain accurate plans, reports and documentation with clear progress visibility.
• Build relationships with sponsors and stakeholders, enabling timely decisions.
• Embed quality management and formal acceptance of deliverables.
• Define and track realised benefits aligned to the business case.
