Job summary

AWD online in Hope Valley, Derbyshire, is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead bespoke furnace projects from concept through manufacture, testing and commissioning for a global client base. You will mentor Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, coordinate design and delivery, and drive quality, reliability and cost control.

The role demands experience in embedded software/firmware, strong technical leadership, and the ability to translate customer requirements into robust engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Embedded software and firmware development experience.
• Proficiency in C#, C++ and C; SQL; RTOS; Linux; Git knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead bespoke furnace projects from concept through manufacture, testing and commissioning.
• Mentor Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and Project Managers.
• Coordinate design and delivery to meet quality, reliability and cost targets.
• Act as a senior technical contact for global customers.
