W Talent are seeking a Lead Design Engineer to shape the design and development of bespoke machinery from concept to installation. You will provide technical leadership, work hands-on in design, and ensure projects meet demanding quality standards.

Located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, this fast-paced role requires experience in mechanical design, Autodesk Inventor, and a strong manufacturing background. Flexible hours and on-site collaboration with production teams are part of the workflow.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading mechanical design projects for bespoke machinery.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to mentor/design team and deliver from concept to installation.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of bespoke machinery and systems.
• Mentor and support the design team to meet project goals.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through to installation and commissioning.
• Produce detailed drawings and design documentation using 3D CAD.
