Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering activities across customer projects. You will coordinate with project managers, customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget and quality expectations.

This role requires strong governance, planning, and communication skills, with multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed teams and occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical discipline.
• Experience in project engineering or project management across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in industrial, energy, automation, or process industries.
• Strong coordination, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating engineering activities for assigned projects.
• Supporting detailed engineering planning and ensuring execution aligns with objectives.
• Delivering engineering scope per requirements, quality, schedules, budgets.
• Facilitating regular project reviews to monitor progress, resource utilization, costs.
• Coordinating identification and resolution of technical risks and design challenges.
• Providing clear project updates and technical communication to stakeholders.
• Collaborating with engineering, project management, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to support delivery.
• Representing engineering in customer meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
