Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting a Production Shift Leader to oversee a busy 80-strong team on a rotating 6-2/2-10 shift. You will drive performance, safety and quality, manage workload and overtime, and report against KPIs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The base salary is around £35k plus a 12.5% shift uplift and overtime, with progression opportunities.

Strong leadership and hands-on coaching are essential to develop staff and ensure on-time delivery to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large production teams in a shift-based environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of around 80 staff in a busy production area.
• Manage people, workflow, performance, output, quality and safety.
• Meet production schedules and KPI targets; drive continuous improvement.
• Analyse processes, resolve issues and optimise resources.
• Oversee overtime management and ensure fair allocation.
• Hold daily meetings and provide performance feedback.
