Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager for a leading UK manufacturer in Leicestershire. The role oversees shift production activities, driving safety, quality and efficiency while developing high-performing teams.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, champion Lean initiatives and sustain improvements in a fast-paced environment. They will benefit from a highly automated facility and clear progression opportunities within a major international group.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership within fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong people management and coaching abilities.
• Experience driving safety, quality, productivity and performance improvements.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and KPIs.
• Resilient, capable of handling change and tough situations.
• Hands-on leadership fostering accountability and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop production teams to achieve targets with high health and safety standards.
• Ensure targets are met while upholding quality and compliance.
• Coach Team Leaders and Supervisors to raise leadership capability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity, OEE, waste reduction and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to resolve issues and improve plant performance.
• Manage changes and ensure adherence to site procedures and standards.
• Monitor shift performance and communicate handovers effectively.
