The Vacancy

@one Alliance

As our new Lead Process Engineer, you will provide engineering technical direction to discipline engineers in water treatment and supply projects. Your role involves supporting the design of water treatment and supply schemes, ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure solutions are value-driven, fit for purpose, and delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include reviewing process design deliverables, coaching junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to procedures.

Key responsibilities:

• Review upcoming projects and design review schedules with team leaders.
• Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
• Promote sustainable and low-carbon design practices.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and Anglian Water standards.
• Review piping and instrumentation diagrams, 3D models, process calculations, and process documentation.
• Develop design alerts and lessons learned documentation.
• Support digital transformation initiatives, including the development of fully attributed 3D models.
• Participate in site visits and stakeholder presentations.
• Contribute to reducing carbon footprint and increasing natural capital in designs.

Candidate profile:

Degree in Engineering or equivalent; ideally chartered or pursuing chartered status. Experience in water sector projects and mentoring junior engineers. Enthusiastic, driven, with a strong practical and academic background.
