Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking an ambitious Lead Practitioner Raising Standards in English, Mathematics or Science at Melksham Oak Community School. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team and Curriculum Leader to secure excellent curriculum implementation, robust assessment practice and targeted catch‑up provision.

Qualifications

• Strong practitioner with expertise to raise standards in core subjects.
• Experience using data to identify pupils at risk of underachievement.
• Ability to deliver high‑impact intervention including targeted support.
• Commitment to inclusion, high expectations and measurable improvement.
• Experience working with SLT and Curriculum Leader to improve attainment.

Responsibilities

• Secure excellent curriculum implementation and robust assessment practices.
• Lead evidence‑informed strategies to raise standards across subjects.
• Deliver high‑impact intervention including small‑group and 1:1 tuition.
• Coordinate before/after‑school provision and examination preparation.
• Model strong classroom practice and support colleagues to improve outcomes.
