Job summary

Melksham Oak Community School is seeking a Lead Practitioner Raising Standards in English, Mathematics or Science. You will work with the Senior Leadership Team to raise attainment and drive high expectations across key subjects.

The role focuses on effective curriculum implementation, targeted catch-up/keep-up provision and high-impact interventions, including small-group and one-to-one tuition, aligned with inclusion goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead standards-raising initiatives across English, Maths or Science.

• Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and Curriculum Leader to secure curriculum and assessment quality.
• Model strong classroom practice and support colleagues through professional learning.
