Job summary

Unity Schools Partnership is seeking an excellent mathematics teacher to lead a new pilot across six of our secondary schools. You will co-teach with colleagues who teach maths but are not subject specialists, lead subject knowledge sessions and deliver hybrid lessons to pupils in two schools at the same time.

Your focus will be Key Stage 3, developing connected understanding and confidence for GCSE and beyond, working with the Trust Secondary Lead for Mathematics and Heads of Mathematics,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality maths teaching at secondary level.
• Ability to work across multiple schools and co-teach with non-specialist maths staff.
• Strong understanding of Key Stage 3 progression and GCSE preparation.

Unity Schools Partnership is seeking an excellent mathematics teacher to lead a new and ambitious pilot across six of our secondary schools. This is not a traditional classroom role: you will take your subject expertise to where it is needed most, co‑teaching alongside colleagues who teach mathematics but are not subject specialists, leading subject knowledge sessions and delivering hybrid lessons to pupils in two schools at the same time.

Your focus will be Key Stage 3 - a crucial stage in pupils' mathematical journeys, when they can build a rich and connected understanding of mathematics, grow in independence and motivation, and develop confidence for GCSE and beyond. You will work closely with the Trust Secondary Lead for Mathematics, who will line manage the role, and with Heads of Mathematics in each school. You will also be supported through our partnerships with the Angles and Cambridge Maths Hubs.
