Job summary

Cranstoun's Derby Drug and Alcohol Service seeks a Senior Practitioner to lead and supervise a team delivering trauma-informed, person-centred care for people with substance use issues. You will support safeguarding, governance and clinical practice while promoting reflective learning and high-quality service delivery.

The post requires experience in substance use services, supervision of staff, and strong knowledge of harm reduction, safeguarding and governance.

Qualifications

Experience in substance use services or related health/social care.
Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
Strong knowledge of harm reduction, safeguarding and clinical practice.
Understanding of governance, risk management and quality assurance processes.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
Strong IT skills and experience with case management systems.

Responsibilities

Providing caseload and relational supervision to team members.
Promoting a culture of enquiry, reflection and learning within the team.
Ensuring compliance with Cranstoun policies, procedures and national clinical guidance.
Supporting incident reporting, investigation processes and dissemination of learning.
Contributing to audit processes and quality improvement activity.
Supporting the writing and quality assurance of reports (e.g. safeguarding, coroner reports).
