Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is recruiting a Lead Engineer – Plumbing to join our team in the Nottingham and Newark areas. This is a hands-on, field-based role combining plumbing expertise with coaching and quality assurance across our properties.

You'll spend around 70-80% of your time delivering repairs, with the rest spent mentoring colleagues, assessing competence, and promoting best practice within our Property Care teams.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent and completed apprenticeship.
• Significant plumbing experience in the building trade.
• Experience in occupied domestic properties and social housing environments.
• Full UK driving licence; DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance in homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection to completion with high customer service standards.
• Coach and develop colleagues and apprentices within the team.
• Sign off colleagues against the multi-skill framework and support EPA processes.
• Promote trade standards and drive quality improvements across Property Care.
