Job summary

Platform Housing Group's Platform Property Care is seeking a Lead Engineer - Plumbing in Worcestershire to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance while coaching colleagues and supporting apprentices. You will manage jobs from inspection to completion, ensuring safety and service excellence.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, relevant qualifications, and a full UK driving licence. Home visits and a mobile workload are involved, with a focus on developing others and upholding

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, completed apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Additional Trade qualifications are desirable.
• Unvented Hot Water qualification is essential.
• Experience as a Plumber in the building trades and in occupied domestic properties.
• Full UK driving licence is essential for this mobile role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance work within customers' homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and skills development.
• Assess and sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support apprentices through their End Point Assessments (EPA).
• Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
• Work with Learning & Development teams to support trade training and upskilling initiatives.
• Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments to ensure compliance and high standards.
• Act as a technical expert and escalation point for trade-related queries.
