Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking a Lead Engineer – Plumbing to join our team in Lincolnshire. You will deliver a wide range of plumbing repairs in customers' homes and communal areas while coaching colleagues and supporting apprentices.

The role blends hands-on trades with developing others, ensuring safety, quality and consistency across our property care teams. A valid UK driving licence and DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a plumber in the building trade.
• Experience working in occupied domestic properties.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and assessing apprentices.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Experience with recording job and repair information using digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance in customers' homes and communal areas.
• Manage jobs from inspection to completion with excellent customer service.
• Support colleagues through coaching, mentoring and skills development.
• Assess and sign off colleagues against our multi-skill framework and support EPA.
• Promote consistent trade standards and best practice across Platform Property Care.
• Work with Learning & Development to support trade training and upskilling.
• Conduct trade audits, reviews and quality assessments to ensure compliance.
