Job summary

LEGO Digital Play seeks a visionary Principal Play Prototyper to transform napkin sketches into play-testable prototypes, bridging engineering, design, and research to shape the next generation of creators.

You will work at the intersection of prototyping, tooling, and rapid iteration, turning ideas into tangible artifacts that teams can learn from quickly while aligning with LEGO Brand Values of Imagination, Creativity, Fun, Learning, Caring, and Quality.

Qualifications

• A diverse background and work experience at the intersection of engineering, design, research, and rapid prototyping.
• Experience spanning both digital and physical prototyping methods.
• Ability to turn ambiguous ideas into tangible, testable prototypes quickly.
• Commitment to continuous learning and adopting new tools and techniques.
• Genuine affinity for the LEGO Brand and for creative, constructionist play.

Responsibilities

• Transform early concepts into play-testable prototypes for teams to react to and learn from.
• Embed across early product phases, partnering with product, design, and engineering to de-risk ideas.
• Range across digital and physical prototyping methods to find fast paths to a testable artifact.
• Continuously scout and adopt new tools, techniques, and technologies to keep prototyping at the leading edge.
