Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Lead Software Engineer for the Research Platform team in the United Kingdom. You will own end-to-end deliverables, architect platform-first solutions, and partner with product managers and engineering to translate complex requirements into scalable technical outcomes.

You will champion best practices, mentor engineers, and help evolve our agentic SDLC with a product-first mindset, driving reuse, security, and high-quality software delivery across the team.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to autonomously own complex engineering deliverables involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience across the full stack and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience architecting scalable and resilient applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and resolve complex technical challenges independently.
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with evaluation of AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own end-to-end deliverables across the Research Platform.

• Contribute to the evolution of the team’s technology strategy and toolset.
• Promote enterprise-wide AI-assisted coding, testing, and automation practices with secure validation.
