Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Scotland seeks a senior engineer to lead end-to-end delivery on the Research Platform. Architect and design platform-first solutions, balancing stakeholder needs and driving technical excellence across teams.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable cloud-native apps, while mentoring juniors and advancing our SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• Proven end to end autonomous ownership of complex engineering deliverables involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience across the full stack and a willingness to pick up anything required to move a project forward.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native apps on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience in architecting scalable and resilient applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills to independently resolve complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own end to end deliverables across the Research Platform.
• Architect and design solutions in a platform-first approach balancing multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Champion engineering best practices and evolve our agentic SDLC.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical excellence, learning, and innovation.
• Operate with a product-first mindset and use influence to execute effectively.
• Contribute to the evolution of the team's technology strategy and evaluate emerging tools to add value.
