Job summary

Cardiff Council seeks a Plastering Lead Operative within the Responsive Repairs Unit to deliver timely plastering responses across properties. You’ll work as part of a mobile team, coordinating with tenants, admin staff and technical managers via phone, email, and PDA.

The role requires NVQ2/City and Guilds or equivalent, strong communication skills, and a track record in construction/maintenance. A tool allowance is provided; post-share options may apply, with English/Welsh language

Qualifications

• NVQ2 or City and Guilds (or equivalent) in the relevant trade.
• Excellent communications skills and a proven track record in construction/maintenance.
• Able to work as a mobile operative and coordinate with tenants, admin, and managers via phone, email and PDA.
• This role includes a tool allowance of £208.08 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Ensure responsive repairs are attended and completed within timescales.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants within the trade.
• Ensure compliance with legislative, statutory and council policies and procedures.
• Support management in a technical capacity relevant to the trade.
