Job summary

Cardo Group in Pembroke is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Plasterer to deliver high-quality repairs across social housing properties. Plastering is the core trade, with secondary maintenance tasks to keep homes safe and well presented.

You will work in occupied and void properties, ensuring efficiency, quality workmanship, and excellent tenant service while complying with health and safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Plasterer or Plasterer in repairs and maintenance.
• Experience in social housing, local authority, or residential maintenance contracts.
• Excellent plastering skills including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set, finishing.
• Competency in secondary trades such as carpentry, tiling, decorating, mastic, and minor brickwork.
• Ability to identify defects and carry out repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Knowledge of responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void refurbishment.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to first-time quality.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication and customer service in occupied homes.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred/essential depending on the role).

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set, bonding, and ceiling repairs.
• Prepare walls and surfaces for plastering; clean, sand, prime and apply bonding agents.
• Mix and apply plaster materials to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Complete plaster repairs following maintenance works such as plumbing, electrical, or carpentry.
• Carry out multi-skilled repairs including basic carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating, and minor brickwork.
• Undertake minor maintenance works to kitchens, bathrooms, doors, and fittings.
• Ensure work meets quality standards, building regulations, and client specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy working environment with minimal tenant disruption.
• Diagnose repair issues and determine effective solutions.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues and managers; provide progress updates.
• Complete work within agreed timescales and maintain high workmanship standards.
