Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Plasterer for a permanent role across North West London social housing properties. You will perform responsive plastering repairs in occupied homes with a focus on quality workmanship and customer service.

You should have NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Plastering, strong repair skills, and a full UK driving licence. A company van, fuel card, and overtime opportunities accompany a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Plasterer.
• Strong domestic plastering and repair skills.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Social housing / council / housing association experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of plastering repairs and maintenance.
• Patch and repair damaged plaster.
• Skim walls and ceilings.
• Prepare surfaces prior to plastering.
• Hacking off damaged or defective plaster.
• Make good walls and ceilings following repairs.
• Repair cracks, holes and water-damaged areas.
• Apply bonding, backing coats and finishing coats.
• Plasterboarding and making-good works.
• Complete repairs following damp, mould and water damage.
• Carry out minor rendering and external plastering works where required.
• Prepare surfaces for decoration.
• Complete responsive repairs within occupied properties.
• Diagnose repair requirements and identify suitable repair solutions.
• Carry out first-time fixes where possible.
• Complete jobs within required response times.
• Work safely and efficiently within residents' homes.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and residents.
• Update job information and PDA records where required.
• Work independently while maintaining communication with the wider team.
