Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Senior Works Manager for the Southsea Coastal Defence Project. You will lead site operations, coordinating foremen, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver complex civil works safely, on programme and to the highest standards.

You will manage client and stakeholder relationships, oversee planning, risk and quality, and contribute to cost control and programme delivery on a flagship coastal defence scheme.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in a supervisory or construction management role.
• CSCS Site Manager, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications.
• Proven experience delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage site operations to deliver safe and efficient project delivery.
• Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontract resources.
• Lead, mentor and develop Foremen, Supervisors and site teams.
• Drive workforce engagement, wellbeing and performance.
• Support short and medium-term planning and construction sequencing.
